We were commisioned fto tdo the interior build of this 1936 Hayes, which came to us with the exterior body work and paint complete. Since the trailer was found as a gutted shell in poor condition, our client allowed us the creative freedom to come up with a custom floor plan with the era in mind. As a team we were able to source materials and finishes, while our client supplied vintage fixtures, appliances and collectables he had acquired over the years. The finished product feels every bit 1936.
Marmoleum sheet goods were used on the floor. Interior skin and cabinetry were build in Satin finished Walnut. Art deco upholstery fabric, vintage sconces, appliances, and hardware along with tweed drapery fabric in a herringbone pattern, finished off the interior. The Sunbrella exterior awning was custom made, along with the leaded glass cabinet doors, and brass accents.
