This 1948 Spartan has been completely renovated from the frame up. Built specifically for the Scribner's, no detail was overlooked.

The body was removed and the frame was repaired and painted. Scissor jacks were welded to the frame, along with a new electric front jack. New axle, wheels and tires were installed along with baby moon hubs. New underlayment was installed before reattaching the body of the trailer. Exterior panels were replaced as needed. All windows were removed, all tracks and hoses were replaced, the windows were then resealed and installed with all new glass and poly carbonate in the front observation windows. A 32 gallon grey water holding tank was mounted into the frame, along with a 9 gallon black water, and a 33 gal fresh water tank. A new belly pan was fabricated and installed following insulation of the floor. All new 12 volt and 110 wiring was run and new insulation was installed in the body of the trailer.

New Marmoleum flooring was installed in a linear pattern similar to the original flooring. The trailer was reskinned in Birch while restoring as much of the original cabinetry as we were able to utilize. All original cabinetry was removed, meticulously repaired, sanded and refinished with 4 coats of varnish in our spray booth for that perfect mirror shine.

The kitchen and bedroom floor plans remained original while the front living area was modified to accommodate a large bathroom, featuring a fluted glass porthole window for natural light. The shower was built in Stainless Steel with a Teak floor insert. The shower is roomy enough to enjoy the long showers you will be able to take with the unlimited hot water you will get from your Nautilus on-demand propane hot water heater. The porcelain toilet sits beneath an original Pullman sink from a 1930's train car, and a new folding chrome faucet is mounted on the wall. A Maxx Air Fan was also installed in the bathroom for excellent ventilation.

We built an L-shaped sectional in the front living area to fully maximize the entertaining area and sleep an additional two guests. Additionally, the sectional allows space for the fresh water holding tank and the 12-volt electrical self-containment components; The 3000 watt inverter system, includes 2 6-volt AGM batteries, that provide sufficient power to be off-grid for several days. This system is solar ready. The sectional is professionally upholstered with commercial grade mid-century inspired grey tweed, and features welting and button detailing for a tailored finish. High-end wool-blend drapery fabric completes the look in this room. The audio visual system in this room features a Samsung Smart TV and a Kenwood Stereo/DVD player and two hidden JL Audio speakers. A new clean burning eco-friendly, vintage style original heater was installed.  A low profile air-conditioning unit was installed and the garnishes were hydro-dipped to blend with the interior Birch paneling. The kitchen features the original fridge and original 3 burner oven that have also been restored and refinished. The countertops are in Marmoleum and the original backsplash pattern was replicated. A new deep, single bowl sink in heavy gauge Stainless Steel was installed along with a new pull out faucet.

The rear bedroom features all original, beautifully restored cabinetry, including the original bathroom vanity sink, and a new mattress.

This trailer shines as a true classic with tasteful modern amenities. With its inviting warm wood interior and very functional layout it’s the perfect escape whether in the backyard or on the road.
